Repeat donor Safari Art is offering an exciting CHAMOIS (Carpathian or Balkan) hunt for two hunters, or one hunter and one observer (your choice). Enjoy three days of hunting and two days of touring in historic southern Serbia (Felix Romuliana for Carpathian or Mokra Gora for Balkan), then on to Novi Sad and Belgrade. If you have time, a tour and tasting of 3-4 local excellent wineries in the Novi Sad area can be arranged for a fee of $350. (Old world charm and definitely worth it!). This package includes reception at the airport in Belgrade and transfer to your hotel and back at the conclusion of your trip, six nights’ accommodations (3 nights in 3-4 star hotels and 3 nights hunting lodges), and use of a 4x4 vehicle during your stay in Serbia, full board, meals, organized tours, professional hunter.
Serbia’s Chamois season runs from August – January, with the best period being October – November. Hunting occurs in canyons with altitudes of 400 to 1,500M above sea level. Access is via roads and does not require special physical conditioning. Please note that Hunter(s) MUST choose and hunt at least one additional animal at outfitter list price: red stag up to gold medal ($8,000), fallow deer without size limit ($3,000), mouflon sheep without size limit ($3,750), or racka sheep ($3,650). Not Included is chamois trophy fee ($3,300), international airfare, rifle rental $150, hunting license $140, caping $100, dip and pack $35 per trophy, 20% VAT on total value of the trip, trophy export, tips, drinks and gratuities. Note: if two hunters wish to hunt separately, there will be an extra 4x4 vehicle charge of $200 per day. Trip can be extended for $550 per day (hunters)/$350 per day (non-hunters).
Trip should be taken in 2021. If Serbia restricts or closes due to Covid-19, the trip can be moved to 2022. It should also be noted that for 2023 and beyond, hunting licenses for Chamois in Serbia is uncertain at this time. Should the hunt be delayed to 2023 and Serbia is closed, hunts can be arranged in Macedonia or Romania, but there may be some price adjustments.
