Total Model 52 production was from 1961-1993 in 3 variations; Model 52 mfg. 1961-1963 w/ no dash in model number beginning at S# 50000 for approx. 3,500 units. This variation incorporated single action trigger & distinguished by its long extractor. Last 52-2 variation utilized new style extractor; mfg. 1971-1993. Frame in general configuration of Model 39 (aluminum); Model 52s are steel. Fully adj. target sights w/ Patridge front blade. Mid range 38 Spl. using wadcutter bullets seated flush to end of case. Arguably most accurate factory centerfire pistol produced by any US manufacturer. Checkered walnut grips w/ silver medallions in same configuration as used on Model 39. A superb Bullseye target pistol. MAGS: 3 factory 10 rd. TOTAL (1 near excellent, 2 w/ noticeable body finish removed). UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: bbl. bushing wrench & modern S&W generic blue plastic padded case.
