Cal. 30-06. S# 1367212. A match-quality sporting rifle built at Springfield Armory for sales to NRA members. Approx. 6,500 in the SN range of 1,260,000–1,445,000 were produced in 1924–1933. Bbl. 24" star gauge with the same contour as the 22-caliber rifles. The barrel is marked "SA" over a flaming bomb with a 10–30 date. Pin-fastened Lyman beaded blade front sight with original Lyman 48 receiver sight mounted on rear ring. National Match quality action with a brightly finished bolt. Model 1922 half-length sporter stock without grasping grooves. Checkered steel buttplate. Original swivels. CONDITION: barrel and receiver retain 97% original blue. Trigger guard shows light wear. Good original stock finish, showing a few scattered marks. Bore retains sharp rifling. (22-3308/MRZ). CURIO. $3,500-5,000.
