Cal. 45 ACP. S# 126311. Bbl. 5" correct Springfield Type 11. Mfg. 1915; Army contract of 7,620 units. Every small part that normally has a "S" stamped on it, does; the extractor is very faint and the sear is extremely faint. The hammer is the proper long type with rounded spur and extended checkering. Checkered slide stop and safety are both correctly undercut. Grips have correct 11 rows of checkering between diamonds. All aspects of the pistol are correct for the year and serial number range per Harrison's reference guide. Inspection mark is the proper flaming bomb with "bullseye" on frame by mag release and on left rear of slide. Right side of slide below ejection port is stamped (upside down) "J.H.B." appearing to be hand stamped owner identification mark; clearly applied after finish. MAGS: 1 good correct 2 toned 7 rd. with lanyard loop and sides of body folded over base. CONDITION: good general appearance with some areas of high point wear and light marks to include the typical one from improper slide lock installation. Thinning of finish in grip area. Sharp markings and appearance of original finish marred only by the added initials. Grips have light marks; left is very good and right is good with some flattened diamonds at mid front (worn grip screws). Good plus bore with very light frosting and copper fouling. (22-4311/NW).
