Recessed pin models made 1910 to early 1913 from S#1 to about 62000. Markings on frame are "THE STERLINGWORTH CO." which ended about the high 53000 S# range before A.H. Fox markings appeared. Later Sterlingworth Co. barrel markings of Philadelphia along with "FLUID COMPRESSED STEEL". Barrel markings start reading on right barrel and continue on left rather than two separate identities. CONDITION: good general appearance with mixture of cleaned oxidation and peppery oxidation on rear 1/3 of barrels; forward 2/3 with better appearance of light patina tone and slight peppery oxidation. Tight action; lever not yet near center. Bores have occasional areas of cleaned pitting most noticeable near breech; especially right barrel. (22-3695/NW). CURIO. $400-600.
