LIGTHWEIGHT 12 BORE GAME GUN WITH CASE ENGRAVED BY MUFFOLINI. Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 4869. Bbls. 26 7/8". Made in 1969 w/ filed tapered flat game rib w/ sm. brass front bead. Top of right tub engraved "ACCIAIO BREDA", left bbl. "COSTRUZIONE F. MAJERNA". Bbls. w/ finely polished flats have SN, & proof marks w/ date code "XXV". Polished water table w/ marker's name, SN, proof marks & sm. import mark. Breech face w/ bushed strikers. Bottom rib w/ 2 tiny screws likely from factory for sling swivel. Point pattern checkered splinter forearm w/ diamond at center & gold inlaid crest w/ initials "ED". Forend iron is fully floral engraved & has Anson type push button release w/ polished interior which has engraved screws & SN. Full side lock action is fabulously engraved in floral burst & ribbon pattern w/ beads on bottom of action & bottom w/ full coverage floral engraving w/ maker's name in draped ribbon at center of trigger plate. Beaded fences are full coverage engraved in floral pattern as is the low profile top lever which is pierced at thumb point in floral pattern. Top tang is near full coverage engraved w/ "SIGORA" in front of engraved safety button. Gun made w/ non selective single trigger, automatic ejectors, non auto safety. The rolled edge trigger guard is near full coverage engraved in floral pattern & engraver's signature "INC. A. MUFFOLINI" on right side of trigger. Fabulously figured Circassian walnut buttstock w/ flat knob grip is checkered in point pattern through the wrist, has finely carved tear drops behind locks & a secondary elipse behind side locks & terminates w/ a finely checkered butt. DAC: 1 3/8". DAH: 2". LOP: 14 1/2" from rear position of trigger. Right: Bore diameter: .730". Restriction: 010" (Imp. Cyl). Minimum wall thickness: .31". Left: Bore diameter: .730". Restriction: .035" (Imp. Mod.). Minimum wall thickness: .026". Weight: 6 lbs., 12 oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: housed in it's original Nizzoli brown leather case w/ maker's trade label on top & leather outer cover. Case has 2 gold plated snap caps enclosed. CONDITION: extremely fine & near mint. Gun retains nearly all original finishes to both wood & metal surfaces w/ only minor handling marks. Bbls. w/ minor rub by forearm & left tube near breech end. Coin finished action is near mint engraving crisp & beautiful throughout. Case hardened trigger retains nearly all original finish. Buttstock & forend are sound & retain virtually all finish w/ only minor handling marks. Bores are bright & shiny. Mechanics are crisp. Gun is tight. Case is excellent to near mint w/ minor rubs.
