Smith & Wesson Model 25-2 1955 Target Model Double Action Revolver, #N139570, .45 Auto Rim cal., 6.5'' pinned barrel, blue finish, wide target hammer and trigger have been polished bright, recessed cylinder, factory checkered square butt wood target grips with S&W medallions, red ramp front sight and micrometer click adjustable rear sight. All of the factory lettering has been highlighted in gold. Mfg'd 1973. Approx. 96%-97% original blue finish remains and metal rates as fine overall. Muzzle wear, tiny specks underneath the grips, and a moderate index line account for a majority of the finish loss. Factory lettering is clear; gold infill on left side of barrel is a little faded. Grips are excellent with sharp unmarred checkering; right grip is a little lighter in color from being on display in the casino. Action is crisp with a smooth hammer and trigger; bright bore rates fine with some spots of powder fouling in the grooves. Est.: $600-$900.
