Antique ''Deringer'' Copy of a Smith & Wesson Model No. 1-1/2 2nd Issue Single Action Tip-Up Spurtrigger Revolver, NVSN, .32 CF cal., 3.5'' round barrel marked ''Deringer Philada'' on full-length top rib, and ''Manuf'd at the Deringer Rifle & Pistol Works, Phila, PA'' on left side; fluted 5-shot round cylinder is marked ''353'' on rear face; frame has top hinge, push-button bottom release, spurtrigger sheath and integral ''bird's head'' gripstraps, two-piece ivory grips. Likely mfg'd late 19th century, originally in full nickel plate with case hardened hammer, trigger and barrel release bar. Condition is very good retaining approx. 75% bright nickel with areas of dark corrosion, esp. in breech/barrel hinge area. Ivory grips show a pleasing mellow color and are without chips or cracks. Action is crisp; bore shows overall dark frosting and good rifling. Est.: $250-$350. (Antique)(John Ackerman collection)
