American made magazine fed bolt-action rifle chambered for .308 Winchester, and manufactured in Westfield, MA. The Savage Model 16 was built on the Savage 110 action, and introduced in the late 1990's. Rifle features a satin stainless steel finish on the barrel and receiver, receiver drilled and tapped for optic mounting, factory installed two-piece scope bases, a 22" tapered barrel, no provision for iron sights, smooth curved adjustable AccuTrigger, turned-down bolt handle with a checkered knob, jeweled bolt body, serrated tang mounted manual safety, push-button bolt release at the front of the trigger guard, accepts detachable magazines, and integral magazine releases on the magazines. The black synthetic furniture consists of a semi-pistol gripped shoulder stock with checkering at the wrist, checkered forend, sling studs on the bottom of the forend and the shoulder stock, checkered black plastic grip cap with a Savage trademark, and a solid black rubber recoil pad. A Nikon 3-9x40mm scope with a Bullet Drop Compensated reticle is mounted to the receiver using two-piece 1" rings. The original satin stainless steel finish retained is approximately 98% with very light handling blemishes. Metal displays no rust, or deformation. Action is smooth and crisp, and the bore is bright with strong rifling. The furniture polymer is in excellent condition with only superficial handling marks. The scope's sight picture is clear, and bright. Rifle includes the original factory cardboard box with end label, and one magazine total.
Condition is NRA Excellent.
