American made slide-action repeating shotgun chambered for 2-3/4" 12 Gauge shotshells, and manufactured in Chicopee Falls, MA. The Savage Stevens Model 77B was produced from 1957 to 1968. This shotgun was definitely manufactured before 1968 because there are no serial numbers. Shotgun features a blued finish, a 24" round barrel with an adjustable Savage Super Choke, steel bead front sight, smooth curved trigger, annular cut push-button safety on the trigger guard, half-length magazine tube, single action bar, and a serrated bolt release at the front of the trigger guard. The hardwood furniture consists of a smooth semi-pistol gripped shoulder stock, corn cob style slide handle, 14-1/4" length-of-pull, and a red ventilated rubber recoil pad with a black spacer. The original blued finish retained is approximately 92% with minor thinning, light handling blemishes and scratches, and some contact wear on the magazine tube from the slide handle. Metal displays some extremely minor deformation in some of the screw slots, and there is sparse and light oxidative speckling. Action is smooth and crisp, and the bore is smooth and shiny. The hardwood furniture is in fair to good condition with thinning finish, and chipping and cracking at the rear of the receiver.
Condition is NRA Good.
