American made vintage tube-fed bolt-action rimfire rifle chambered for .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle. Manufactured in Chicopee Falls, MA. This rifle is pre-1968 in its manufacture because there is no serial number present. The 'Chicopee Falls' address line corresponds to a 1938-1960 period of production. Rifle features a blued finish, optics mounting dovetail on top of the receiver, a 24" barrel, 3/4 length tubular magazine, dovetailed blade front sight, elevation adjustable sporting rear sight, smooth curved trigger, turned-down bolt handle, serrated sliding manual safety on the right receiver rail, and an aluminum trigger guard (missing one screw, the other does not look original). The hardwood furniture consists of a smooth semi-pistol gripped shoulder stock, smooth forend, and a serrated black plastic butt plate that does not fit the stock. A Marlin Micro-Vue fixed 4x scope with fine crosshairs is mounted to the receiver using two-piece 3/4" rings. The original blued finish retained is approximately 92% thinning around the rear of the receiver, light handling blemishes, and some muzzle wear. Metal displays no deformation, but there is light scattered oxidation on the metal components. Action is crisp but a little dry feeling, and the bore is bright with strong rifling. The furniture wood is in good condition with light handling marks, a scuff on the right side of the forend, and a few small spots of finish losses. The scope's sight picture is slightly hazy, and slightly yellow.
Condition is NRA Good.
