Scarce Mauser Model 1935/06 (GNR) Republic National Guard Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol with Holster and Tools, #2055v, .30 Luger cal., 4.75" barrel, blue finish, straw colored small parts, checkered walnut grips, saw tooth shaped blade front sight, fixed rear sight with "V"-notched groove, grip safety, with one unmarked aluminum based magazine. Pistol is marked with "(Mauser Banner)" on the toggle and "GNR" on top of the chamber. There are "(crown)/(crown)/U" proof marks on left side of the receiver and underside of the barrel. Lower safety position is correctly marked "SEGURANCA"; extractor "CARREGADA". Numbered parts are matching; with the grips, safeties, and magazine being unnumbered. Includes black leather GNR second variation holster with pin punch, cleaning rod/oiler, and takedown tool. Back of the holster is stamped with partially visible "GNR" and several numbers. All steel cleaning rod with single angled serrations around the screw cap appears correct. Pistol is in fine overall condition, retaining approx. 85%-87% original blue, showing areas of thinning and toning across the barrel, holster wear to the high points, mild thinning and toning to the front and backstrap. Takedown lever and thumb safety have worn to a mostly silver color; balance of the small parts retain approx. 70%-75% thinning straw colors. Factory markings are clear. Grips display signs of moderate age and handling wear, with a few small flat spots and impressions. Action and hold open function properly. Bore rates very good overall and is bright throughout with defined rifling. Holster is good and appears to have had a leather conditioner applied to the exterior, showing typical marks and some light creasing associated with age and use; leather remains soft, stitching and seams tight. Portuguese contract Garde Nationale Republicanie pistols are considered scarce, as only 564 were manufactured. Est.: $2,500-$3,200. (C&R/PPT)
