High quality & faithful reproduction of the Sharps Rifle Company Model 1874 falling block single shot sporting rifle chambered in .45 2 1/10".(.45-70) The consigner ordered this rifle with top of the line sights and wood. Manufactured in Big Timber, MT. Features a high polish blue match-grade, half-octagon/half-round 30" barrel with dovetailed globe front sight with post insert and prism, #103 Buffalo Soule fully-adjustable long-range tang sight with variable aperture eye piece. The top of the barrel is marked “Shiloh-Sharps Model 1874” and “CALIBRE 45 / 2 1/10”, the bottom (under the forend) is marked with the serial number and “45 70”. The inside of the forend has “1994B” & "AAA" written in black marker. The left of the receiver is marked “SHILOH RIFLE MFG. CO. / BIG TIMBER, MONTANA”, the top is marked with the serial number behind the loading groove. Case color receiver, hammer, lever and buttplate, fire blue screws. Highly figured presentation grade wood with AAA hand-rubbed finish using multiple coats of tung oil enhancing the wood's depth and luster, ebony fore tip, Niedner checkered steel buttplate, right hand shadow-line cheek rest, fine point checkered panels at wrist . Double set triggers. Bore is pristine, the wood is excellent and the blue and case colors are overall excellent with very minor edge wear to the barrel flats, minor scratches. Manufactured 1983-Present.
