This 12 gauge semi-automatic shotgun was manufactured during the first half of the 20th century (Sjogren patent 1900-1905) and was the first successful semi-automatic shotgun manufactured. 28.25" round barrel. The matching serial number is marked on the left side of the barrel, receiver ring and receiver. The upper left side of the barrel band is marked "484". The left side of the receiver is marked "AUTOMAT/SYSTEM SJOGREN/PATENT" and the right side is marked with a crown over "HAANDVAABENVAERKSTEDERNE KJOBENHAVN". Nitro proofed barrel with a number of proof marks. Single bead sight and mounted with a checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with a hard rubber factory buttplate. LOP is 13 1/4", CYL choke Fed from a 5-rd tube magazine. The bluing is 70% original with handling loss on the bolt carrier, & triggerguard., a checkered walnut forearm (Tube magazine in Forearm)and walnut stock with finish loss. scratches/ding, no splits, cracks or breaks. It does have a few minor bruises on stock. It has a bright shiny bore. Things appear to work as they should. Very rare shotgun. NRA Condition-Good+. C&R Firearm.
