Smith & Wesson 1st Model Top-Break Double Action Revolver, #11110, .44 Russian cal., 4" ribbed barrel with pinned round blade front and fixed rear sights, blue finish, S&W marked checkered hard rubber two-piece grips, 6-shot fluted cylinder. The 1st Model was produced from 1881-1913. Revolver is in good overall condition retaining considerable original finish drifting to a gray patina, with traces of original blue in protected areas. Barrel shows wear at the muzzle with light pinprick pitting and some oxidation of the metal. Frame has been cleaned and is a brighter gray patina, with a sharp S&W trademark at the right rear. Hammer and trigger are silvered case coloring with traces of muted figure. Grips are fair with a full-length vertical crack in the left panel and chip missing at the base. Action is crisp and the timing is good; bore is only fair showing moderate roughness and areas of pitting throughout. Lot includes a 3-pc. set of Lee reloading dies in .44 Russian. Est.: $600-$800.
