Vintage double action revolver manufactured circa late 1930's thru early 1940's. Built on the round butt 5-screw "I" frame. Features re-blued finish, pinned half-moon blade front sight, adjustable rear sight, fluted 6 shot cylinder, 4" barrel, aftermarket checkered wood finger groove grips. Grips are an exotic hardwood, with light and dark brown streaks. Bore is good overall condition, with a slight ring of very small pits visible under magnification, just back from the muzzle. Barrel appears slightly bulged about one inch forward of breech. Retains 90% refinish, with handling marks and some edge losses, drag line. Front sight is brass. Case hardened trigger & hammer are good, with scattered light patina throughout. Back of cylinder has been machined to remove tops of the chamber recesses, leaving the entire cylinder face at the same level. Appears to have resulted in excess head space. Grips are very good. Action is smooth with tight lock-up. Number in frame is only visible number. *** Do not fire without gunsmith inspection *** Condition is NRA Poor (needs headspace checked) *** C&R Firearm ***
