'Model of 1905, 4th Change' Vintage medium frame double action revolver chambered in .32-20 Winchester, manufactured in Springfield, MA circa 1915-1940. Features a blued finish, pinned 6" round tapered barrel, forged round blade front sight, 'u' notched rear sight, non-shrouded ejector rod, fluted six-shot swing-out cylinder, smooth .265" case hardened trigger, case hardened .265" hammer with knurled spur, five screw square butt K service frame and diamond checkered walnut grips with brass S&W medallions. Matching serial numbers are observed on the frame, barrel, cylinder and extractor star. Revolver exhibits approximately 40% bluing with the barrel and cylinder retaining the majority of the finish, the frame showing major finish loss and the sideplate appearing to be a replacement with pin prick pitting throughout. Action is mechanically sound with good lock-up, the bore is excellent, the markings are crisp and the wood grips are good with wear. Condition is near NRA Good. ***Modern Firearm*** ***C&R Eligible***
