The .38 Double Action Perfected Model was Smith & Wesson's last top-break revolver to be introduced and were manufactured from 1909-1920. This gun has been reblued and looks really good. It sports a 3.25" barrel, checkered hard rubber grips with S&W monograms on a round butt frame. The front sight is a forged blade, integral with the barrel while the rear sight is a raised portion of the topstrap release. This is the only S&W model that has both a topstrap release and a thumb release on the left side. It is also the only S&W top-break to have the side plate on the right side of the frame, held in place by four screws. Reblue looks good with little to no signs of wear. Bore looks good, needs cleaned. Grip is missing a small chunk, top left where the grip meets the side plate and a small chunk, left bottom. Bottom of barrel at muzzle has hit something and has a tiny flat spot but doesn't appear to interfere with the crown. Condition is NRA Good as Refinished.
