Smith & Wesson .44 Hand Ejector .44 Spl
SN: 11424 'First Model, Triple Lock' Nickel refinish revolver with 6.5" barrel, checkered medallion wood grips. Includes factory letter which confirms features, states the original finish was nickel and also states it was shipped to Shelton-Payne Arms in El Paso Texas on August 25, 1915. Note Pancho Villa's engraved Colt was also shipped to Shelton-Payne with other Colt's and Winchesters that went south during the Border War Era. Revolver retains approximately 95% of its nickel plated refinish showing edge wear and some scattered pitting visible under the finish. Markings are good, action functions well though the cylinder release mechanism needs attention (extremely tight) and the bore is good with minor pitting and the wood grips are very good with blemishes.
NRA Good as refinished.
