Smith & Wesson .44 Hand Ejector Third Model (Model of 1926) Double Action Revolver, Shipped to Wolf and Klar of Fort Worth, Texas, with Factory Letter & Holster, #29806, .44 S&W Spec. cal., 5" barrel, blue finish, two-piece stag grips, round blade front sight, notched rear sight, color case hardened hammer and trigger. There are matching numbers on the barrel, frame, cylinder, and extractor. In vintage brown leather holster with hand-tooled floral pattern. There are no visible maker's marks, but the holster is stamped "GENUINE HAND CARVED". Also included is a Smith & Wesson factory letter that confirms the barrel length and finish but indicates this revolver was originally shipped with "checkered silver medallion square butt grips".  Shipped May 3, 1937, to Wolf & Klar, Fort Worth, Texas. Revolver rates in very good condition.  Approx. 70%-75% factory blue remains, with holster wear to both sides of the barrel, trigger guard, and edges of the cylinder; handling wear to the front and backstrap. Factory lettering is clear. Grips show moderate yellowing from age, and handling wear that is consistent with the overall condition of the revolver, with a small chip to the lower front corner of the left grip, no other major blemishes. Approx. 50% muted case colors remain on the hammer and trigger. Action cycles very smoothly and the cylinder lock up is good. Bore is bright with clearly defined rifling. Holster shows moderate age and wear, with general scuffs and scratches. Est.: $1,600-$2,200.
