American made large frame double-action revolver chambered for .44 Remington Magnum. The Model 629-1 was introduced in 1982, and manufacture in Springfield, MA. This 629-1 was distributed by Lew Horton and S&W, and only 8,000 were made between 1986-1987. Revolver featuring a brushed stainless steel finish, 3" barrel with partial serrated sighting rib, knurled ejector rod with a 3/4 length underlug, raised serrated ramped front sight with orange insert, micrometer adjustable square notched rear sight with white outline, fluted six-round cylinder, smooth wide curved stainless trigger, firing pin on hammer nose, transfer bar safety, stainless hammer with a checkered spur, ten-groove serrated grip straps, smooth finger grooved wood combat grips with gold-colored S&W medallions, and three screw round butt 'N' target frame. The original stainless finish retained is approximately 99% with superficial scratches, and a light drag line on the cylinder. Metal displays no rust, or deformation. Wood grips are in excellent condition with nothing remarkable. Bore is bright with strong rifling, and the cylinder chambers are also excellent. Action is smooth and crisp with a tight lock-up.
Condition is NRA Excellent.
