This is a M&P pre-Victory model. Lend-Lease Canadian marked WWII era medium frame double action service revolver chambered in .38 S&W, manufactured circa 1940-1945. No import marks observed. This revolver was provided by the United States government to the British Empire as aid under the Lend Lease program. Features a blued finish, pinned 5" barrel, forged round blade front sight, square notched rear sight, non-shrouded ejector rod, fluted six-shot cylinder, serrated .265" case hardened trigger, case hardened .265" hammer with knurled spur, five screw square butt K service frame with lanyard ring on the butt and two-piece smooth walnut grips. Standard markings with the broad arrow "C' on the left frame, and "WE" flaming bomb, and "P" froward of the lanyard ring. Serial number matched on heel, barrel, and cylinder. Revolver retains approximately 90% of it's blued finish showing some high point edge wear, scattered handling marks/scuffs, tracking on the cylinder, and some finish loss on the cylinder rod. there is a scratch on the right frame. Action is crisp with very good lock-up, the bore is near excellent , markings are clear and the wood grips are very good with minor blemishes. NRA Condition-Very Good. C&R Firearm.
