Sn: V433115 Revolver, Double-action. , 6-rd cylinder. WW2 U.S. Military issue. Built on the square butt K frame. So named for the V prefix in the serial number for "Victory" against the Axis powers in WW2. Topstrap marked " U.S. Property GHD", for Guy H. Drewry , inspector from 1930-1957. 4" pinned round barrel. 1/10" round front sight blade. Notch cut rear sight. Serrated trigger. Revolver is finish in the dull gray war-time parkerized finish. Matched serial numbers. Smooth laminated wood grips. Lanyard ring is missing. S&W monogram on sideplate. "Made in USA" on the right side of frame. ".38 S&W Special Ctg." on right side of barrel. S&W address, patent dates on top of barrel. "Smith & Wesson" on left side of barrel. About 242, 291 manufactured c. 1942-1945. Action is smooth. Bore, and cylinder chambers appear excellent/bright, but a little dirty. War-time finish is about 95%, with wear to the edges. Some minor scratches/rubs. Grips are good with some small dings/dents. NRA condition-Very good. Modern firearm. C&R Eligible.
