Smith & Wesson Model 1917 Double Action Revolver, #5942, .45 ACP cal., 5.5" barrel, blue finish, smooth walnut grips, "United States Property" marked to bottom of barrel, lanyard loop in butt, with "GHS" cartouche to upper left portion of frame. Condition is near excellent. This WWI era revolver retains approx. 92% of its original factory blue, with thinning to top of front sight, muzzle, topstrap and backstrap. Sides of trigger guard and forward edge of cylinder show thinning as well; light index marks to rear portion of cylinder. Grips are mostly fine with light scuffs and scratches, more pronounced at right panel. Good action, bright bore. Est.: $800-$1,200. (C&R/PPT)
