Smith & Wesson Model 544 Commemorative Texas Wagon Train Double Action Revolver, #TWT3247, .44-40 cal., 5" barrel, blue finish, smooth Goncalo Alves target grips, red ramp front sight and white outline square-notched rear sight that is adjustable for windage and elevation, color case hardened target trigger and hammer. Right side of frame is marked with Texas wagon train; barrel is marked "1836 TEXAS 1986". Includes an original S&W box that lacks an identification label, sealed cleaning kit, S&W protective paper, instruction manual and misc. factory paperwork. In original wood display case with key. Top of the lid features various commemorative Texas themed markings and S&W logo. One of 7,800 mfg'd in 1986. Revolver is in excellent overall condition, appearing unfired. Approx. 99% factory metal finish remains with a faint turn line to the cylinder. Factory lettering is crisp. Case colors are vibrant. There is one small flake to the finish on the right grip. Both are otherwise as new. Excellent action and bright bore. There are a few moderate scratches to the outside of the wood case; there is also one more noticeable impression to the right edge of the lid. Interior is excellent. Est.: $1,000-$1,500.
