Smith and Wesson 1st Model Hand Ejector revolver, .44 S&W Special caliber, Serial #4902. The pistol is in fine overall condition with a 5” barrel. The pistol retains approximately 95% of its factorynickel finish with light muzzle wear and small handling marks observed. The checkered wood gold medallion grips are in very good condition with small mars and storage marks. The bore is very good, the action is crispand the markings are sharp. The pistol features a five screw frame while the hammer and trigger display beautiful, vivid case hardening. The pistol is accompanied by a Smith and Wesson factory letter confirmingthe features as described and indicating that the pistol was shipped to William Hoegee Co., Los Angeles, CA on May 29, 1911. Also known as the .44 New Century Triple Lock, 1st Model Hand Ejectors were introduced in 1908and manufactured until 1915. From the estate of Larry Gaertner. Est.: $2,000-$4,000. (C+R)
