Early bolt action US Military rifle manufactured circa 1904, 2nd year of production. Imported by Fed. Ord. Inc, (Right Barrel) Features 24" barrel, blade front sight, ladder type rear sight, manual safety, sling swivels, stacking swivel. Early 'S' stock without grasping grooves. Bore is worn with scattered areas of very light pinprick pitting. Parkerized finish is very good with minor handling loss and minor edge wear. Walnut stock and handguard are very good condition, matching colors, with minor dents and other handling marks, small filler repair by the band spring, has been cleaned/sanded with no cartouches visible. There is a 1" chip on the heel. Barrel marked "SA" over ordnance bomb over "1-42" , rebarreled for use in WW2. The Springfield markings on the receiver ring are crisp/clear. Includes a period M1907 brown leather two hook sling (brass hooks & copper rivets), marked " GS G.Q.T. 1917". Hinged smooth steel buttplate. NRA Condition-Good. C&R Firearm.
