SA parts correct/matched date US military semiautomatic rifle. Serial number indicates manufactured March, 1945. SA barrel dated 3-45, D28290-12-SA on the side of the trigger group. hammer marked B46008-2 SA, Safety marked C48015-6 SA, op rod marked D35382 S SA, receiver marked O 85 A and D 28291 35 and the bolt is marked D28287-12 SA W10B. Arsenal reworked. Features parkerized finish, wood stock & hand guards, 24" barrel, adjustable sights with protected front blade & protected rear peep marked "BME" (Bruce Machine and engineering), fixed magazine for en-bloc clip, manual safety Handguard and froe stock a darker than the shoulder stock , "P" proof on the bottom of the grip. Bore is very good/bright, strong rifling. Metal parts retain about 95% parkerized finish. Shows edge losses & handling marks. Wood is good/sound with the usual minor scratches/dings and a 2" hairline crack in the top of the handguard near the receiver. Correct USGI green web sling attached. A correct SA matched late WW2 rifle. Comes with the Director of Civilian Marksmanship (DCM) Anniston Army Depot receipt.
