Rebuilt WWII era U.S. military clip-fed semi-automatic service rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield, manufactured circa 1944. Reimported by Exel of Gardner, MA with import mark on the left side of the barrel. Features a parkerized finish, 24" barrel dated “8 63", shrouded blade front sight, adjustable rear aperture sight, smooth trigger, milled trigger guard, bayonet lug, tan nylon sling, piling swivel, smooth walnut handguards and semi-pistol grip shoulder stock with trapdoor metal buttplate. The marker code “SA” is found on many of the components including the bolt, barrel, operating rod, trigger housing, hammer and safety. The stock is marked with [crossed cannons], boxed “S.A./J.L.G.” cartouche and circled “P”. Rifle retains approximately 95% of its military finish showing scattered handling marks and some bright wear on/from the moving parts. Action is smooth, the bore shows scattered pitting & semi-worn rifling, the markings are clear and the walnut stocks are good to very good with cracks in the upper handguard.
