Rebuilt WWII era U.S. military clip-fed semi-automatic service rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield, manufactured circa 1942. Features a parkerized finish, undated 24" barrel, shrouded blade front sight, adjustable lock bar rear aperture sight, smooth trigger, milled trigger guard, detachable M1 bayonet with converted M7 scabbard, black nylon sling, piling swivel, smooth walnut handguards and semi-pistol grip shoulder stock with trapdoor metal buttplate ( containing M3A1 combination tool, oiler & grease pot). The marker code “SA” is found on many of the components including the bolt, operating rod, trigger housing, & hammer and all observed drawing numbers are WWII period. The barrel lack the typical markings and in their place has a stamped [flaming bomb]. The stock is marked with [crossed cannons] and circled “P”. Rifle retains approximately 40% of its military finish showing heavy wear with some pitting, a browning patina and scattered rust tones. Action is mechanically sound, the bore is bright with sharp rifling & scattered light pitting, the markings are clear and the walnut stocks are good to very good with blemishes & small fills. Op rod is uncut early style. Buttplate is early style with no latch for compartment door. Condition is NRA Good. ***C&R Firearm***
