'Sniper-D' Rebuilt WWII era U.S. military clip-fed semi-automatic service rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield, manufactured circa 1944. Features a parkerized finish, 24" barrel dated “11 52", T-37 five -prong flash hider, blade front sight with flared protective ears, adjustable rear aperture sight, M84 fixed power scope with telescoping sun shade & rubber eye-piece, smooth trigger, stamped trigger guard, bayonet lug, green canvas sling, piling swivel, smooth walnut handguards and semi-pistol grip shoulder stock with trapdoor metal buttplate & brown leather cheek rest marked "MRT/10-52". The marker code “SA” is found on many of the components including the bolt, barrel, operating rod, trigger housing, hammer and safety. The stock is marked with the ½” boxed [three stars]/[eagle]Department of Defense Acceptance Stamp, “12” and circled “P”. Rifle retains approximately 95% of its military finish showing scattered handling marks/scuffs and some bright wear on/from the moving parts. Action is smooth, the bore is excellent, the optics are clear with semi-worn finish on the tube, the markings are sharp and the walnut stocks are very good with numerous dings.
