A Standard Arms Model G ("G" for "gas operated") semi-automatic/pump-action rifle, manufactured from 1910 to 1914. 22" barrel with good bore chambered in .30 Remington. Fixed sights, bronze forend, wooden stock. Finish shows wear.

The gas system can be turned off using a valve under the foresight assembly and the rifle will function as a pump-action rifle. In 1906 firearms designer Morris F. Smith was awarded a patent for an “Automatic, gas operated rifle” which became the Standard Arms Model G, making Morris F. Smith the first person to apply gas operation to a self loading rifle. An interesting pre-Great War semi-auto rifle.

This is a Non-Restricted firearm.
