Star Model B stamped "LPN." on the front grip strap, issued to the Landespolizei Niedersachsen, The Police for the ministry of Interior in Lower Saxony, West Germany in the early 1950's. Pistol has the "Y" date code, 1953. Spanish 9x19mm semiautomatic pistol made in the style of the 1911. Features blued finish, checkered wood grips, single action trigger, 5" barrel, fixed sights, frame mounted manual safety, push button mag release, arched, knurled back strap. Bottom of grip marked "B" and serial "423686" , partial SN "686" is matched on the magazine, slide, barrel bushing, slide latch and the safety lever. Bore is excellent/bright, retains about 85% blue with handling/edge wear, grips are very good, sound. Includes a good condition black leather full flap holster stamped on back "Hess. L. Polizei". Stands for Hessische Landespolizei (Hessen State Police), ECO (inside a large "G"): This is the trademark logo for Geco (Gustav Genschow & Co.) and the Hessenlöwe (Hessian Lion) with extra magazine in slot, marked "239". Both magazines are marked "Star"
