American Civil War era double action percussion revolver (cap and ball) features blued finish, one piece walnut grip, 6" barrel with loading lever underneath, blade front sight, rear sight notch on hammer nose, 6 shot unfluted cylinder, double action only (DAO) trigger, large head finger screw for disassembly. Bore is poor condition, dark with rust, some rifling visible. Metal surfaces show a fairly even thin patina brown color with some areas of slightly rough texture throughout, bare metal at edges. Wood grips are good serviceable condition with dents & dings. Action is heavy, trigger raises hammer but does not trip to allow hammer to fall. Cylinder seems to index properly and lock up is tight. Address, patent markings on sides of frame and serial number on cylinder are deep & even. "B" stamp at left rear of barrel, "F" on frame & top strap. Condition is NRA Fair - not in working order *** Antique Firearm ***
