American Civil War era double action percussion revolver (cap and ball) features blued finish, one piece walnut grip, 8" barrel with loading lever underneath, blade front sight, rear sight notch on hammer nose, 6 shot unfluted cylinder, single action trigger, recessed head disassembly screw requires screwdriver. Bore is poor condition, dark with rust, little rifling visible. Metal surfaces show a fairly even gray color with some darker streaks and areas of light brown patina, some small areas with shallow tiny pits. Wood grips are good serviceable condition with dents & dings. Hammer has heavy feel when cocked, trigger let-off is fair. Cylinder lock up is weak, can be turned by hand with light pressure. Address, patent markings on sides of frame are deep & even. Serial number on cylinder is partially eroded. "M" stamp at left rear of barrel, "B" on frame & top strap. Condition is NRA Fair - needs adjustment or repair *** Antique Firearm ***
