Join Summit Bighorns for an exclusive hunt in a premier area co-owned by Grant Rach, Dustin Roe, and Colbie Coglon. Located in the rugged mountains of West Central Alberta, this is your chance to venture into the high country with a bighorn sheep tag in your pocket and a world-class team at your side!
The Journey
Your adventure begins in Calgary, Alberta. After landing and picking up your rental car, you will enjoy a scenic two-hour drive north to Rocky Mountain House. Following a restful night's sleep at a local hotel, you will travel to Grant's ranch just west of town, in the direction of the hunting area. There you will meet your guide, check your gear, and ensure your rifle is sighted in. From the ranch, you and your guide/wrangler will drive 1.5 hours to the trailhead. There, you'll pack the horses and trail deep into the heart of the Rocky Mountains in pursuit of a trophy bighorn ram.
Hunt Logistics & Accommodations
This is a 12-day, fully guided and outfitted 1x1 hunt conducted on horseback and on foot in some of the finest sheep hunting grounds in North America.
Camp: You will hunt comfortably from wood-heated wall tents and enjoy hearty, home-cooked meals
Equipment: You will be mounted on top-quality mountain horses and accompanied by an experienced guide and professional horse wrangler.
Spiking Out: If the hunt requires moving deeper into the high country, backpack tents and Mountain House meals will be used for "spiking out" if necessary.
Customization: The hunt will be fully tailored to the hunter's physical abilities and preferred weapon, whether it be rifle, bow, crossbow, or muzzleloader.
Dates & Availability
The approximate 12-day hunt will take place between September 23 and October 4, 2026. This is an ideal window for sheep hunting; conditions are typically favorable, and the sheep are actively feeding. Due to the difficulty of access, there is very little to no hunting pressure in this area-rest assured, you won't have to compete for your ram. As an added bonus, hunters may also have the opportunity to harvest a timberwolf.
Investment & Responsibilities
The lucky hunter may bring an additional guest for only $5,000. The hunter is responsible for:
Transportation to and from Calgary (rental car)
WIN Card, licenses, and tags (approximately $500)
CITES permit (if a wolf is harvested)
Gratuities and 5% GST

SCI MIDSOUTH CHAPTER AUCTION RULES
Spirit of the Auction
We are here tonight to celebrate conservation, education, and sportsmanship. To accomplish this goal, the Chapter has arranged this live auction. The more generous your bidding this evening, the more money the Chapter and SCI will have to fund local, national, and international conservation, education, and humanitarian initiatives. Please support our efforts by BIDDING EARLY and OFTEN.
General Rules
If you are the successful bidder, you agree to pay the amount of your bid plus all applicable taxes this evening. All sales are final and are non-refundable.
There will be no post-auction sales of unsold live auction items. Items on the live auction will only be offered once during the auction. Items that do not receive any bids or that receive bids that do not meet the reserve will be withdrawn.
This is an auction with reserve. This means that the Chapter reserves the right to establish a reserve price, to accept or decline any and all bids, or to withdraw the item at any time prior to the announcement of the completion of the sale by the auctioneer. All items currently listed in the program as live auction items may have a reserve. This means that a minimum acceptable price has been set, and the Chapter may or may not disclose the reserve price during the auction. The Chapter may change the reserve price at any time. In order to win a live auction item, your final bid must be higher than the reserve for that item. You need not be physically present to win.
The terms of an auction item are set forth in the description and have been described by the Chapter as reasonably as possible. The hunts being auctioned are not guaranteed, which means that no money will be returned to the winning bidder, and the winning bidder should not expect to be invited back at no cost should the winning bidder be unable to harvest an animal. If something is not included in the terms, bidders should assume that the specific term is not included and may cost additional money. The Chapter shall not be liable for typographical errors or errors in the description. Photos may be stock photos, and thus, they may not represent the class of game to be taken at the locations.
Restriction on Transfer/Resale of Live Auction Items
No live auction item may be transferred or resold without the prior written approval of the Board of Directors of the Chapter, which may consent or withhold consent for the transfer for any reason in their sole discretion. Only the person registered as a bidder and being declared the winning bid on an item by the auctioneer shall be considered the owner of that item, unless otherwise declared and specified at time of checkout and form completion. Any subsequent attempt to transfer the item shall result in forfeiture of the item back to the Chapter. Neither the Chapter nor the donor shall be responsible for refunding any payments made to purchase an item that has been forfeited. The decision as to whether an item has been transferred or attempted to be transferred shall be at the sole and absolute discretion of the Board of Directors of the Chapter.
Not an Agent of the Donor
The Chapter is not an agent or partner of any donor of a live auction item. The winning bidder releases, waives, discharges, indemnifies, holds harmless, and covenants not to sue Safari Club International, the SCI Mid South Chapter, and their affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, employees, and members, all of which are hereinafter referred to as “Releasees”, from any and all liability, cost, and expense to the winning bidder and his or her heirs and next of kin for any and all claims, demands, losses, or damages on account of injury, including death or damage to property, caused or alleged to be caused in whole or in part by the negligence, gross negligence, or intentional conduct of the Releasees or otherwise. All sales are final and are non-refundable.
ALL PURCHASES WILL BE CHARGED A 3% CREDIT CARD/TRANSACTION FEE.
