Schmidt–Rubin Model 1911 Rifle
An improvement over the original 1889 version of the Schmidt–Rubin rifle, the Swiss
M1911 placed the locking lugs in the middle of the bolt, rather than at the rear,
strengthening the action and allowing a more powerful cartridge, the Gewehrpatrone
11 or GP 11 to be used.
It is distinguished from the 96/11 rifle by a curved buttplate and by a stock with an
integral semi-pistol grip. It uses a graduated tangent sight which begins at 300
meters.
The 1911 and 96/11 rifles are characterized by exceptional accuracy and were
made with excellent craftsmanship. The fact that Switzerland remained neutral
through both world wars ensured that they are in far better condition, on average,
than the rifles of other European nations from that vintage
This unit was hand selected and has all numbers matching.
Stock has great patina with Tiger Stripe showing through, does have the usual bumps
and sctraches for a uit of this age.
Bore is excellant and a wonderfully accurate shooter.
Comes with an original leather sling ..

When shipping is required for any purchase an additional charge will occur the day the item has been shipped. We ship mainly at cost via Canada Post. We aim to have items out the door within 15 business days after auction close.
Please note that due to restrictions we will ship all Ammunition by courier Canada wide - No ammo can be shipped outside of Canada.. We will use whatever coourier serves your location ....
We are NOT responsible for damage during shipping. We don't guarantee delivery times and will not refund shipping charges for parcels that are not delivered by a specific date.
Items over $200 will be insured and a signature 18+ is required (unless under $200 or going by letter mail).
NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN ON LOTS THAT WE ARE UNABLE TO SHIP TO YOU.

TERMS OF PAYMENT: At the conclusion of the Auction all items purchased will be charged to the Credit Card that was provided at registration to guarantee payment. If shipping is required for any purchase an additional charge will occur the day the item has been shipped. A $40.00 late payer fee will be added to any invoice that can't be processed at the conclusion of the sale. Please ensure that you have provided us with the correct number and expiry date. Recurring problem payers will be banned from future sales. Bidders are responsible for full payment of all their purchases at the drop of the hammer. Our Consignors are paid based on the hammer price. We will attempt to charge your credit card partial amounts until the amount is paid in full. Any purchase which has not been fully paid will be resold at the next available opportunity. Our normal commission charge (14%) will apply on re-sale. Any balance remaining unpaid after the resale will be referred to our collection agency, and or small claims court.

KOS Auctions do not guarantee or make warranties on any lot. We acknowledge that errors may occur, however, we endeavor to give you accurate information in the descriptions provided. No employee of KOS Auctions is authorized to make any representation or warranty, oral or written, with respect to any lot or item for sale other than the CEO.
KOS Auctions will not return or refund money if an item is not exactly in the same condition as listed in the online listing. All ratings in the online listing are subjective and are of visual opinion, no mechanical inspection is undertaken by KOS unless stated. Any concern on a listing must be addressed via email before the closing of the auction.
Any items that are purchased that we are not able to deliver will be sold at the next opportunity, regular commission charges apply to that secondary sale.
We require your full correct name and a mailing address for your items won. Customers who fail to do so, or who need the paperwork restarted due to an error on their part will be charged an administrative fee of $25.00 per lot.
