1) CIVIL PILOT’S BADGE. This badge features a winged party symbol with the wings being finished in blue enamel. The reverse has a wide pin and is stamped “C.E. JUNCKER BERLIN SW”. A fine original example of this rare badge. CONDITION: medal does show some oxidation. There is a slight enamel repair on the tip of one wing. The reverse has an expected patina and the pin functions properly. 2) CIVIL RADIO OPERATOR’S BADGE. This badge features a winged party symbol in tombak. The reverse has a wide pin and is stamped “C.E. JUNCKER BERLIN SW”. Although this badge has an excellent look, we question the placement of the maker’s mark that indicates to us this may be a quality reproduction. CONDITION: badge has light wear and expected tarnish throughout. Pin functions properly. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of Joel Thone. (02-22518/BF). $1,000-1,600.
