Join J. Alain Smith on a 10-day Cape Buffalo hunt in Michel Mantheakas' Lukwati concession of Tanzania, where you will take a Cape buffalo on camera for an episode that will air on Alain’s hit television show Rugged Expeditions during the 2015 season.
High bidder will join Alan Sackman and J. Alain Smith on August 6th, 2015, to begin this hunt of a lifetime. If you are not interested in having fun, do not bid on this hunt! Dates cannot be changed or altered. Included are: daily rate for 10 days, trophy fee for one Cape buffalo. High bidder can take any other species available in the concession on a 14-day license. The high bidder will have to purchase the 14-day license as well as pay the trophy fees on any animals collected other than the Cape buffalo. The hunt cannot be extended to more days in this camp; however, arrangements can be made for the high bidder to book with the outfitter for alternative hunting opportunities in Tanzania at their own expense.
Hunt does not include air charter fees or any other flights. A charter fee is typically $5,000.00. It may be possible to split the charter price with another hunter. Hotels before and after the hunt are not included. Hunter needs to arrive in camp the afternoon before the hunt and depart the day after the hunt is completed. Michel Mantheakas can assist with making internal charter or commercial flight arrangements, but those costs are not included in this donation. Also not included are any other flights, hotel before and after the hunt, Government hunting license and optional trophy fees.

Shipping arrangements and payments are to be made solely by the winning bidder with the shipper of their choice. WFI assumes no responsibility or liability of shipped items. No hard item merchandise will be delivered to buyers until WFI’s bank confirms full payment has been received. All hard merchandise may not be shipped until 30 days after the close of auction.

The following provisions will apply to Bidders participating in online bidding:
1. Online Bidders must complete an online registration form and sign and return an authorization form, which will be emailed upon receipt of the application. A credit card must be provided to verify available funds up to anticipated amount they wish to bid (Bid Limit). Once all executed documents are received and approved, Weatherby Foundation International (WFI) will enable online bidding.
2. TO BE ELIGIBLE TO BID ON AN ITEM, THE ONLINE BIDDER MUST PLACE AN INITIAL BID ON THEIR DESIRED ITEM(S) BY 12PM THE DATE THE ITEM(S) ARE TO BE AUCTIONED. A PREAUTHORIZATION OF 50% OF THE VALUE WILL BE REQUIRED UNTIL THE CLOSE OF THE AUCTION.
3. The highest bidder’s credit card on file will charged the full amount of each successful bid and the bidder will be furnished an immediate email acknowledgement at the conclusion of the bidding phase. BIDDER AGREES THAT HE OR SHE WILL, WITHIN 15 MINUTES OF THE RECEIVING SAID ACKNOWLEDGMENT, REPLY BY EMAIL OR PHONE CONFIRMATION OF THE BID AND AMOUNT. IF SAID CONFIRMATION IS NOT RECEIVED WITHIN THE DESIGNATED TIME FRAME, THE ITEM MAY BE RE-PLACED FOR AUCTION.
4. Online Bidders agree not to use any device, software or routine to interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of any transaction being conducted during the online auction.
5. WFI reserves the right, for any reason, in its sole discretion, to terminate, change or suspend any aspect of the online auction.
6. If Bidder dissatisfaction occurs with the online auction in any way, Bidder’s only recourse is to immediately discontinue use of the online auction before items have been purchased.
7. WFI reserves the right to terminate Bidder registration and use of the online auction, and impose limits on certain features of the online auction or restrict Bidder access to, or use of, part or the entire online auction without notice or penalty.
8. ALL ITEMS SOLD THROUGH WFI ARE RECEIVED FROM THIRD PARTY VENDORS.
GOODS: ALL GOODS IN THE LIVE AUCTION AND SUPER SILENT AUCTION HAVE BEEN ACQUIRED OR OBTAINED FROM THIRD PARTIES. THE HIGH BIDDER ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THE GOODS HAVE NOT BEEN INSPECTED BY WFI, AND IS ADVISED, IN THE CASE OF FIREARMS, KNIVES, BULLETS OR OTHER WEAPONS TO SECURE A COMPETENT INSPECTION AND TEST OF THE GOODS BEFORE USE. THE GOODS IN THE LIVE AUCTION ARE SOLD “AS IS” WITH ALL FAULTS AND DEFECTS, AND WITHOUT ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY ON THE PART OF WFI. THE HIGH BIDDER FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGES THAT HIS/HER PURCHASE IS FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE UNDER ANY AND ALL CIRCUMSTANCES, AND THAT SHOULD LEGAL ACTION BE REQUIRED TO COLLECT FOR THE SERVICES OR MERCHANDISE ACQUIRED BY THE HIGH BIDDER AT THE AUCTION, WFI SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL REASONABLE ATTORNEY’S FEES, COST OF COURT AND INTEREST AS PROVIDED BY LAW.
9. WFI’s auction credit refund policy will not apply to any auction item for which the Donor and Buyer alter or vary the terms set forth for the item in this Catalog.
10. Bidder acknowledges that the online auction bidding phase is conducted electronically and relies on hardware and software that may malfunction without warning. WFI will not be responsible for error or failures to execute bids placed via the internet, including, without limitation, errors or failures caused by (i) a loss of connection on WFI’s or Bidder’s end (ii) a breakdown or problems with the online bidding software and /or (iii) a breakdown or problems with a Bidder’s internet connection, computer or system. WFI does not accept liability for failure to execute any online bid or for errors or omissions in connection therewith.
11. WFI may void any sale, temporarily suspend bidding and re-sell any goods that were affected by any malfunction.
12. WFI reserves the right to terminate Bidder registration and use of the online auction of any particular Bidder without notice to said Bidder or penalty.
