The Grand Safari: Elite Ladies Addition
With appreciation to Game Trackers Africa Rockwood Conservation, and donated by Wicus Diedericks in collaboration with SCI Life Members Jaco Oosthuizen and Magdel Oosthuizen, this seven-day South African safari is donated exclusively for four huntresses, featuring a combination of plains game hunting and a hands-on rhino conservation experience. Conducted on a malaria-free, 33,000-acre private reserve in the Northern Cape bushveld, the safari includes one rhino management darting experience (>30") for one huntress, and shared trophies consisting of one roan (<27"), one kudu (<46"), and one gemsbuck for the remaining three huntresses, along with a dedicated spa day. Included are seven nights of five-star luxury lodge accommodations, gourmet meals, local wines and beer in moderation, bottled water and soft drinks, daily laundry service, Wi-Fi, 4×2 guided rifle hunting using spot-and-stalk methods, full professional hunting staff, transport within the safari area, field preparation of trophies, delivery of trophies to the local taxidermist, rhino insurance, and a spa day featuring four Khoi-Khoi neck, shoulder, and back massages (30 minutes each). Not included are any before/after safari expenses, international or charter flights, pre- or post-safari accommodations, round-trip airport transfers from Kimberley ($750 per vehicle), rifle rental, firearm permits and airport clearances, rhino dart conservation and community fee ($180 per day), taxidermy, dipping, packing/shipment, special food or beverages, gratuities, VAT on non-exports, bank fees, and travel insurance. The safari is redeemable by four huntresses only, with partners welcome at $450 per night. A 20% deposit of fair market value is required to confirm dates, and additional species, days, or upgrades may be arranged at the outfitter’s current price list. The safari is available for open dates from March 2026 through November 2027, subject to availability. Arrival/departure point is Kimberley Airport, Central South Africa.
