Reproduction Heavy Barrel-Large Bore Percussion Plains or Sporting Rifle, by Thompson Center Arms, #K58204, .50 cal., blued 29'' heavy octagonal barrel. large dovetailed bead-blade front and fixed rear sights, marked with maker's name, address and caliber on right angled flat, and ser. no. on left; case hardened flat lockplate and hammer are floral engraved; brass furniture includes scrolled finger-rest trigger guard, patchbox opening to a trap for spare nipple and patches, crescent buttplate, two oval barrel wedge escutcheons, nosecap, and two ferrules retaining the brass-tipped hickory ramrod; varnished walnut halfstock has raised aprons on either side of lock and a gracefully carved left-side cheekpiece. Double set triggers. Condition is fine+. Barrel retains approx. 70% thinning blue, lock and hammer showing bright case colors, and brass lightly toned. Stock is sound, smooth, and with an added coat of varnish. Action is crisp; bore is bright with scattered etching at muzzle and sharp rifling. Est.: $200-$350. (No FFL Required)
