Stocked British Military Model 1856 Percussion Pistol, by Tower (1859), NVSN, .56 cal., 10'' blue barrel, case hardened frame and hammer, ''(crown)/VR'' and ''1859/Tower'' to lockplate, 3-leaf rear sight, cartouched walnut full-length stock and detachable shoulder stock, with iron mount. Stock is extensively cartouched with London proofmarks ''(broad arrow)/WD'' markings; right side of stock marked ''Moxham''. Captive swivel type ramrod, brass triggerguard, forend cap and butt cap, as well as brass buttplate and tang unit marked ''ELYC 2nd / T-14'' (East Lothian Yeomanry Cavalry Regiment), which was part of the British Territorial Army active between 1797-1956, and similarly marked on butt of pistol grip. Condition is fine with light surface corrosion to blue portion of barrel, much of which should clean. Light marks to stock from handling, but crisp markings throughout. Action and bore are good.
