NATIONAL MATCH FEATURES INCLUDING STAR GAUGE BARREL AND EQUIPPED WITH LYMAN 48 SIGHT. Cal. 30-06. S# 1272042. Bbl. 24" star gauged on muzzle & numbered under handguard “1275”. Marked behind front sight “SA” “flaming bomb” & “3-26”. Lyman 48 rear sight graduated to 125 points. Sight has sm. knobs. Screw-in aperture disk w/o flip-up aperture. Sight slide S# does not match base. Ladder rear sight graduated to 2850 yards w/o volley notch. Sight has flat adjustment knobs. USMC type aperture measures approx. .10" in dia. Face of sight ladder appears to have been originally polished bright but has now turned overall gray. Front sight equipped w/ USMC #10 style blade. Receiver has polished rails. Bolt is finished bright. Marked on top of bolt handle “W3L”. Bolt is not electro-penciled to match. Bolt has single gas hole at bottom. Bright extractor has gas hole. Headless cocking piece. Reversed safety. Grooved trigger. Matching walnut stock set. Buttstock is marked over trigger guard w/ faint boxed “D.A.L.” Marked under grip w/ encircled “P” & sm. “T”. All milled furniture including deeply checkered trap buttplate. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: blued steel rear sight protector. Markings include “P.J. O’HARE”. Brass front sight protector & muzzle cover marked “P.J. O’HARE”. Marked at rear “R 10”. CONDITION: stock set has been likely arsenal refinished after match use rendering inspector’s mark slightly obscure. Stock set very light wear w/ scattered handling marks. Metal parts retain 80% original blue finish w/ thinning & light wear. Very good shiny bore w/ sharp lands. (22-4143/RW). CURIO. $2,000-3,000.
