U.S. Model 1814 Common rifle by Henry Derringer with a 33 3/16” barrel marked with a large U.S. on the lock and H. Derringer, Phila. Also marked in two lines on the barrel, .54 caliber rifled and expertlyre-converted back to flintlock from percussion. The stock shows some restoration and refinishing and a couple areas of small losses of wood during use. Only 2,000 were delivered by H. Derringer, who’s name becameinfamous with the Lincoln assassination pistol. The rifle is in N.R.A. good overall condition. Est.: $1,400-$2,800. (Antique).
