U.S. WW2 Training Grenade Lot
U.S. WW2 era wooden transit crate, lid marked "Training Hand Grenades", holds 24 grenades, rope handles, approx. 25" x 9". Ink stamped, it was shipped to Fort Knox in 1943. Contains two MK1A1 inert cast iron solid grenades, developed to help safely train soldiers in WW2. It was used for training in handling and throwing of the fragmentation "Pineapple" hand grenade MK2. Also contains three inert MK II training grenades, Two have blue paint, complete with Fuses, spoons, and pins, the third has no paint, fuse only. A nice set for the Ordnance collector.
