SHOTGUN W/ EXTRA SET OF FIELD BBLS. Cal. 12 Ga. (2 3/4"). S# S50802. This shotgun was designed to compete head on w/ Perazzi & Krieghoff in the target shotgun market & features detachable trigger group, ejectors that can be set for automatic or manual, a top lever that can be converted to right or left operation & other desirable features including full interchangability of bbls., stocks, triggers, etc. They were built to an exceptionally high level of tolerance & quality. J. D. Aginaga championed this shotgun, but his untimely death ultimately caused the company to cease production. Relatively few were manufactured & they are avidly sought in the used market. This gun is fitted w/ 30" target bbls. w/ ventilated top rib & side ribs w/ interchangable chokes. Along w/ another pair of 27 1/2" field bbls. w/ narrow ventilated top rib w/ fixed chokes. Both sets of bbls. are fitted w/ gas powered ejector system. Upon firing, gas pressure pushes a detent or trip to activate the ejector for that chamber. Both bbl. sets are marked "Dynamit Nobel" "Made in Germany" on monoblocs. All bbl. sets are designed to be interchangable. Target bbls. are numbered "L11657" & field bbls. are numbered "L10558". Coin finished action w/ removable trigger group is marked "Rottweil Paragon" on both sides. Bottom w/ "Dynamite Nobel, Germany" flanked by scroll engraving. Nicely tiger striped European walnut extreme pistol grip buttstock measures 14 5/8" over thin sporting clays type pad. Matching 1 piece schnabled forend has Anson type button release. MEASUREMENTS: Target bbls. STOCK: LOP: 14 5/8". DAC: 1 1/2". DAH: 2 3/8". Cast: Neutral. WEIGHT: 8 lbs. 2 oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: gun & both bbls. are housed in ABS black "Paragon" marked case lined in purple velvet containing 5 choke tubes, wrench, stock removal tool & instruction manual. Also included are consignor's notes. CONDITION: fine w/ evidence of good amount of use. Bbls. retaining over 95% of original blue w/ a few light marks. Coin finish of action has some staining, mostly around bottom from hand wear. Stocks show some light wear in their original finish, mostly on sharp edges. Checkering lightly worn. Bores are excellent, action is tight. Mechanically fine, ejectors not tested, but consignor states they work fine. Case is fine on exterior, interior cloth detaching from lid. (20-2396/MGM86).
