DREISBACH, UNION COUNTY PA. Cal. 32 rifled bore. NSN. Bbl. 34" full oct. Overall length. 49". Has elaborate 4 piece patchbox w/ 13 piercings. Curly maple stock w/ typical brass Baum style sideplate. Brass saddle plate. London Warranted lock is converted from flint & has dbl. set triggers. John Dreisbach worked in Union County, PA in the early 1800s. CONDITION: silver trigger guard is an incorrect replacement & bbl. appears to have been shortened approx. 3-4" from the back. Otherwise, this rifle is in extremely nice, original condition throughout. PROVENANCE: Collection of Dr. John Persing. (01-19546/RG). ANTIQUE. $1,500-3,500.
