US Navy Model 1870 bayonet w/ 20" fullered straight blade. Blade marked on left ricasso “U.S.N.” & “GGS”. Right ricasso marked “AMES MFG. CO. CHICOPEE MASS.”. Feathered brass grip w/ birds beak pommel & unique raised ridge to attach to rifle. Brass tipped leather scabbard w/ added replacement frog. Braked blade has scattered spots of light oxidation & scattered spots of fine pitting. Grip is pleasing mustard color w/ staining, oxidation & moderate wear throughout. Scabbard has flexing, cracking & scuffing. Throat & tip have sm. dents w/ patina & light oxidation. / Model 1904 Hospital Corps. Knife. 12" Rnd. tipped single edge blade w/ brass cross guard & finger grooved grips. Blade marked on left ricasso w/ “SA”, flaming bomb & “1908”. Marked on right ricasso w/ “U.S.” & “7115” serial number. Heavy leather scabbard marked on back of belt loop “ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL 1908” & “H.E.K.. Scabbard has brown lacquered brass fittings. Blade has light wear, scattered light oxidation & fine pitting. Edge has been sharpened & has notable sm. knicks. Grips have moderate wear, staining, dents & scratches. Brass is turning pleasing mustard patina. Scabbard has light wear, scuffing & flexing notable in belt loop, is in otherwise serviceable condition. / US Army entrenching tool from the 1880s. 8" Rounded point blade, 1 edge has turned to form ridge which aids in cutting tasks. Turned hardwood handle marked “US”. Brown leather scabbard marked “US” below throat. Attaching ring at back of scabbard. Blade has scattered oxidation & very fine pitting w/ slightly mottled appearance. Handle has light wear & handling marks. Scabbard has wear & scuffing, stitching is tight. Brass is turning patina. / Model 1910 bolo w/ brake blade w/ straight cross guard & thumb operated scabbard catch. Rough turned walnut grips retained by 2 screws & birds head pommel. Blade marked on left ricasso “SA”, flaming bomb & “1913”. Blade has blue for approx. 1/4" above cross guard. Scabbard is khaki webbing w/ metal throat. “1910” Belt hanger & leather tip, which is marked on reverse side “BRAUER BROS 1917”. Bright blade has appearance of polishing w/ light wear & scratches, notable denting on back of blade near transition. Grips have light wear & staining. Balance of metal turning patina. Scabbard has light wear, staining & scuffing. / 2 Triangular bayonets for trapdoor Springfield rifles, plus 1 additional “US” marked scabbard. 18" Blade. Bayonet marked on top “US” & “S” w/ locking ring. Bayonet is blued steel. Scabbard has fitted permanently attached leather frog w/ single hook made from brass wire. Bayonet retains 70% original blue w/ thinning, wear & spots of oxidation & light pitting. Steel scabbard has denting, oxidation & fine pitting. Leather frog has flexing & wear. Second bayonet has 18" triangular blade. Blade marked on top w/ “US” & has locking ring. Blue steel scabbard w/ belt loop. Brass disk marked “US”. Bayonet has notable oxidation & moderate pitting throughout. Scabbard has light pitting & oxidation w/ light wear. Leather has wear, flexing & cracking. Additional scabbard is blue steel w/ leather frog & lg. folded brass belt hook marked “US”. Scabbard retains lg. percentage of blue w/ oxidation. Leather has wear & flexing, but appears serviceable. Stitching is tight. (02-13680/RW). $1,300-2,500.
