The 1st Special Forces Group was first activated in June of 1957 and remained active through the Vietnam War until June of 1974. Here we have an interesting grouping of uniform components & ephemera including a Bancroft Green Beret w/ US Special Forces Insignia "DE OPPRESSO LIBER" Military Crest Pin over US Army 1st Special Forces Airborne Beret Flash patch. Woodland camoflauge Boonie hat size 6 7/8. Blue & yellow United States Army Special Forces Class A Patch (sword w/ 3 lightning bolts). US Special Forces insignia "DE OPPRESSO LIBER" military crest pin over 1st Special Forces oval 2.25" patch. Some contents of Individual Survival Kit & small items including empty Dextro Amphetamine tablet vial, flexible saw, bandages, salt tablets, insect repellent, water purification tablet bottle & fungicidal ointment. Pen flashlight. 2 small, unidentified photographs. Some contents of survival kit leaking or empty. Currently enclosed in custom wood & glass display case measuring 22"x18"x3.25" when closed.
