1) US World War II machete marked "True Temper TT-18 1942" is a military-issue sidearm manufactured by the American Fork & Hoe Company (under their "True Temper" brand). Features an 181/4" steel blade, an "U.S." property stamp, and riveted black composite scale grip. Green OD canvass scabbard stamped "U.S." and "J.Q. M.D. 1942. Good condition with a couple of minor nicks to the blade. 2) Made by Collins & Co. of Hartford, Conn, this is a LEGITIMUS model long jungle machete, later known as the No. 127. The Machete has an overall length of 261/2' , with a slightly curved 21 3/4 inch Bush/Collins machete shape blade. The blade is about 2 1/4 inches wide at the thickest point. The ricasso is nicely marked: "U.S. (Collins Emblem)
LEGITIMUS, COLLINS & CO. 1942"Collins label in on the reverse, mostly intact with a small section of the left side torn off. correct original World War II leather machete scabbard manufactured in 1942 by the Atchison Leather Products Company (ALPCO). Brown russet leather heavy-duty leather with wire belt attachment. marked in the rear "U.S. ALPCO 42". Both is overall very good condition, blade has been lightly sharpened. Riveted black composite grips.
